Rooms & Pricing
We understand the costs of aged care can be overwhelming, to make things easier we’ve put together a Guide to Understanding Residential Care Costs.
You can view up-to-date prices and compare providers using the Federal Government’s My Aged Care website.
Our Anglican Care Customer Engagement Team is available to help explain the costs – simply give us a call.
Our rooms come with pricing options and can include the following:
Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) – A lump sum payment made to the aged care home that is fully refunded to you or your estate when you leave the home.
Or
Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) – This payment is not refundable. Some people may prefer to pay for their accommodation based on a daily rate.
Or
A combination of RAD and DAP – If you decide to make a combined RAD and DAP payment, the DAP amount will be adjusted based on the lump sum amount paid.

FAQS
FAQs
I am feeling anxious about moving into a residential aged care home. What can I do to make it easier?
We understand moving to a new home is an emotional experience and our Customer Support Team are available during business hours to guide you through the process. We believe that the opportunity to discuss your concerns and get the answers that you require to make informed choices, will help to reduce any uncertainty and related anxiety. Each Home has specialist staff and the role of our Resident Liaison Officer is to provide ongoing practical and emotional support to our residents and families.
When I need to move into a residential aged care home, what personal items should I bring with me?
Our rooms are “move in” ready and equipped with a bed including bed linen, bedside lockers, wardrobe space and a chair, if needed. To make it feel like home, Residents might like to bring small personal items that provide an additional level of comfort such as photos, paintings, mementos etc. Our Resident Liaison Officers will discuss how much clothing will be needed. All clothing must be for ease of identification and suitable for laundering in commercial washers and dryers.
Can I afford to move into a residential aged care home?
Residential care is accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances. Government financial assistance is available to those who are assessed as eligible. All Homes (Extra Services excluded) are required to provide a minimum number of places to those who are unable to pay for the cost of their accommodation, and the Government pays a supplement on their behalf. You will be required to complete the Request for an Assets and Income Assessment form to determine whether you are eligible to receive this financial assistance.
All residents are required to pay a Basic Fee to cover the cost of their daily living expenses, which is 85% of the single person rate of the basic aged pension. If you qualify for full Government assistance, you have peace of mind knowing that the cost to you can be met by your fortnightly pension payments.
What are the visiting hours for my family and friends to visit?
Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time, with consideration to other people who are living there too. This is your home and your family and friends can pop in and see you at any time – just as they do now. It is our philosophy that “you don’t live in our workplace – we work in your home”. However, we do request that visitors respect the privacy and rights of other residents and staff.
Can I leave to stay with my family sometimes?
Yes – unlimited day leave is available to you. Overnight leave can be taken at no additional cost for up to 52 days per financial year. We just ask that you advise staff when you will be away from the Home and when you have returned.
