Manager IT Infrastructure and Security
The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of IT, the Manager IT Infrastructure and Security is responsible for ensuring the digital services, ICT and information systems in use across Newcastle Anglican are appropriately governed and managed throughout their lifecycle and support the organisation's strategic and operational goals.
This is a Full Time, permanent vacancy.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Participating in long- and medium-term decisions concerning the organisation's IT strategy and direction.
- Providing leadership to the IT Infrastructure & Security team, including priorities and workload, and coordinating with the other IT teams and wider organisation. Includes managing and provisioning application resources for projects.
- Managing the IT Infrastructure & Security operational and capital expenditures within budget.
- Accountable for all technical tasks undertaken by the IT Infrastructure & Security team including designing, building, deploying, evaluating and maintaining IT infrastructure and security
- Reporting on the progress of operational issues to senior management, end users and stakeholders
- Overseeing the proactive promotion of technology and security awareness and competence across Newcastle Anglican.
- Managing, maintaining and monitoring all aspects of Newcastle Anglican’s IT systems, ensuring they are stable, resilient, secure and comply with relevant technical and industry standards.
- Design, plan and oversee the implementation of technology solutions.
- Management of 3rd party IT suppliers as required.
About you?
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, information technology, or a similar field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the field.
- In-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies preferably in the Aged Care, NDIS, community services, and education sectors.
- Specialised IT management competencies in IT infrastructure, networks, cloud computing and architecture
- Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills across multiple levels and functions in the
organisation.
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- People management and leadership skills, together with professional standards of planning and budgeting.
- Demonstrated acumen and passion for technology.
- Thorough knowledge of best-practice IT governance e.g., ITIL
