SCHADS level 3Gain valuable experience with this 6 month contractWork with an awesome teamThe Opportunity: The Permanency Support Program supports safety, wellbeing and positive life outcomes for children and young people in the child protection and out-of-home-care (OOHC) systems in NSW. The program provides tailored services and supports for children, young people and their families who are experiencing vulnerability.The Casework Support role will work alongside the PSP Case Manager to support daily operations. The role will assist the Permanency Support Program by working with the Case Managers, Team Leaders, and Family Visit Support Workers providing case work support for the PSP team. Support includes a range of case work administration duties and operational support to the team, ensuring that staff have appropriate access to information required to complete their work. Role & Responsibilities: Directly assist the day-to-day work of Caseworkers/ Case Managers in their efforts to provide care and to improve the life experiences of vulnerable children, young people, and families.Undertake tasks that support case planning and documentation, referrals and appointments, case visits, and day-to-day team priorities.Provide administrative support to the Case Managers by updating children and young people’s filesSchedule meetings, prepare minutes and agendas for internal and external meetings and prepare reportsSupport Case Managers to provide appropriate information to schools and day care settingsSupport Case managers to complete up to date genograms for children and young people’s familiesAbout you? Diploma / Certificate (or working towards) Community Services, Community Welfare, Children’s Services or other related disciplineExceptional organisational and administrative skills to adhere to deadlines and meeting key accountabilities whilst working under pressureDemonstrated high levels of computer literacy in MS Office and databasesAn understanding of the needs of children and young people who have entered or are about to enter the out of home care systemAbility to problem-solve and manage competing priorities effectivelyAbility to work as a member of a team to provide quality services to children and young people in the out of home care systemDemonstrated commitment and ability to maintain confidentiality The ability to effectively develop and maintain positive working relationships and networks with other Government and Non-Government agencies/services.Drivers licenceWorking with Children CheckFirst Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain Who we are?
