The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an energetic and experienced Case Manager to join our Brighter Futures team.
This exciting position involves providing intensive case work for families with children, focusing on parental vulnerabilities and making quality improvements to family functioning. Further, Brighter Futures aims to improve children’s wellbeing, and to prevent them from entering the OOHC system. The Brighter Futures team are committed and compassionate, partnering with families, DCJ and non-government service providers working to preserve the family structure and strengthen its functioning while keeping children safe.

About you:
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science or Related field.
- Excellent knowledge, understanding and experience working with parents and children with complex needs where risk of significant harm has been assessed.
- Experience and highly developed skills in assessment, case planning and ongoing case management with vulnerable children and families.
- Experience in delivering evidence based programs and a willingness to engage in coaching and support around the fidelity of these
- Knowledge and understanding of child development and the impact of complex trauma on children and families.
- Knowledge of local referral and resource options (e.g. counselling, health, education, housing, income support and other government and non government agencies).
- Knowledge and understanding of the child protection framework within NSW, including Safe Home for Life and Domestic and Family Violence reform initiatives.
- High level of planning, prioritising and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients, team members, community members and other stakeholders.
The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check, first aid & CPR certificate and undertake a pre-employment functional medical.
