A Senior Care Assistant at Carey Bay Gardens, Britainy has a reputation for being patient, showing empathy and wonderful communication skills with residents and their families. But her work doesn’t stop there. Britainy has trained to become a manual handling coach, an important role that we take very seriously at Anglican Care as we are always striving to keep our staff working in a safe environment, and there’s more. Britainy is also a mentor to new employees, a buddy and has worked her way to being a Team Leader.
So why is it that Britainy loves caring for others so much?
“ I’ve been inspired to become a carer because of my close bond with my Grandmother. That and my desire to do a job that really means something.”
Britainy, how does Anglican Care matter to you?
“ Working here has given me real opportunities. I started out as a Carer and worked my way up to Senior Carer, then Team Leader. I have been encouraged to continue with my studies and am now enrolled in a course to become a Registered Nurse. Which I’ve very excited about! It’s a great career pathway and Anglican Care has been a constant support to me.”
We continue to get positive feedback from residents and their families on the strong work ethic and kind nature Britainy demonstrates each shift. Her dedication, along with the hard work and compassion shown by all of our Carers forms part of our unique difference.
At Anglican Care our people matter.
