Newcastle Anglican works across aged and disability care, child development and protection, community development, education, and Christian ministry. It is a large property owner through a trustee organisation and operates a religious charitable development fund. About the roleWe are currently searching for a full-time Property Officer to join our Housing/Asset Management team based at our Head Office in Booragul, NSW. Some of the responsibilities include:Management of landlord responsibilities including maintenance, preventative maintenance, ad-hoc maintenance, implementation of services such as energy supplies.Management of lease agreements in accordance with the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 for all Samaritans services including negotiation of leases (including inspections), execution of leases, rent reviews, arrears management, bond management, management or rent payment via Government Funding Authorities such as Centrelink and other sourcesManagement of property portfolio alongside with Senior Property Officer, assisting them in day to day duties.Assist the property team with statutory and regulatory requirements through reporting and other development opportunities.Management of tenant responsibilities for leasehold properties including tenancy maintenance in accordance with each individual lease, whilst assisting the senior property officerManagement of accommodation agreements for all Samaritans services including negotiation of agreements, execution of agreements, rent reviews, arrears management, bond management, management or rent payment via Centrelink and other sourcesImplement and manage a 6 monthly inspection program for each property within portfolio to identify both preventative works and ad-hoc maintenance requiredMaintain all records relating to allocated portfolioProvide property administration to the property team when requiredAssist in the identification of potential sites as requiredAssist in negotiations, identification, costing and implementation of fit out requirements for potential sites About youAs a passionate professional who partners with others in the business to consistently achieve the required outcomes, your analytical thinking skills, strong attention to detail and communication skills will contribute to you being successful in this role.
