We are a leading provider of aged care services.Applications are invited for the position of Temporary Deputy Residential Care Manager at our Carey Bay Gardens aged care home. The home has places for 91 consumers; situated in a quiet bushland setting with beautiful tranquil garden areas, Carey Bay Gardens provides varying levels of care, including general and dementia secure areas.At Anglican Care we believe in enhancing the lives of ageing people. As a Deputy Residential Care Manager you will have the opportunity to do this each and everyday, bringing respect, compassion, integrity and enhancing the wellbeing of our consumers, their families and carers.The Temporary contract is for a 24 month period. We are seeking a motivated individual to provide high level support and assistance to the Residential Care Manager in the management of all aspects of the home to ensure the leadership, overall direction, coordination and efficiency of the clinical environment in accordance with Anglican Care’s strategic goals and objectives, and legislative requirements.To be able to apply for this role you will have:Essential:Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with current practising certificate to be presented annuallyTertiary qualifications in Geriatric Nursing and/or Dementia Care, or demonstrated experience in that fieldRelated tertiary qualifications in Management and/or demonstrated competencies in that field, with additional competencies including multi-skilling in to other streams within the Aged Care environment.Capable of leading by example and being a role model to all employees in living Anglican Care’s values.Capacity to provide leadership in a complex environment.High level competencies in the provision of Nursing and clinical skills within an ageing in place environment.Demonstrated management competence in: Leadership; Operational Planning; Organisation Management; Continuous Quality Improvement; Human Resources; Time Management; External Relations; and Service Provision.Demonstrated comprehensive high level knowledge of the Health and Aged Care Sectors including funding and policy protocols, accreditation and industrial legislation.Comprehensive experience in coordinating a flexible, multi-skilled team environment with advanced interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.As part of the recruitment process candidates will be required to undertake a functional assessment including drug and alcohol testing.At Anglican Care our skilled and caring people are the most important resources we have.
