These are challenging times, especially for many seniors who are home alone during isolation, perhaps feeling quite lonely.
That is why there is no better time to volunteer and make a new friend without having to leave your lounge-room. We are looking for volunteers who are good listeners, love chatting with seniors, reading stories or playing a virtual game.
Our ‘Connecting Volunteers’ program will have flexible hours, requiring you to make one or two phone calls of around half an hour per week to people receiving Anglican Care services in the community.
You simply tell us when you are available, and we’ll work in with you. Get involved today!
PLUS – Tech savvy musicians and performers of all kinds – we need you!
A fabulous volunteer sent us a few recordings of her singing, accompanied by her son playing the guitar. We loved sharing these videos with our residents and consumers, and are hopeful we can inspire more talented volunteers to do the same. So, if you are handy with a video why not record a musical or maybe a dance performance, even a magic show or the like? We’d love to share it.
Videos are large files which are typically too big to email, so the best way to get it to us is to upload it on www.dropbox.com or YouTube and email us the link.
