As an agency of Newcastle Anglican, Anglican Care’s Executive Team is led by Bishop Peter Stuart, Bishop of Newcastle.
MEET OUR EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM
John Barriga, Diocesan Chief Executive Officer
John holds a Bachelor of Information Technology, Master of Business Administration, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies. He is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
John has held executive and board leadership roles for over 13 years and has over 26 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. He has led large teams in commercial and government environments in Australia, Canada and the United States. He has also worked within various other industries, including aged care, education, retail, utilities, aerospace and consultancy.
John enjoys leading large business transformation projects with a focus on strategy, cybersecurity, project governance, negotiations, change management and finding the gender balance in the ICT industry. Because of his expertise, he has won awards over the years.
He is passionate about community support and has been involved as a board member in aged care not-for-profit organisations, kids’ soccer coaching, Scouts and other roles.
Linda Wilson, Executive Director Quality, Risk and Safety | Diocesan Registrar
Linda supports the Governance practices and administration of the Newcastle Anglican Corporation, Diocesan Council and Synod. She is the Registrar of the Diocese.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Economics (BEc), Certificate in Governance Practice (Cert GovPrac), Certificate IV Workplace and Assessment, and Certificate IV Frontline Management. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a Justice of the Peace (JP).
Jenny Gillis, Group Director Strategy & Transformation
Jenny is a people, change, and culture leader who is passionate about designing and delivering people-focused business strategies that transform organisations and cultures to create the best outcomes for those involved.
Jenny’s career includes business transformation and leadership roles across diverse industries and government organisations in Australia, Asia Pacific, the UK and the USA.
As the Executive Director of People & Culture, Jenny leads a team of HR professionals focused on how work can be better for our people, so our people can be better at work.
Jenny is a proud Aboriginal woman of the Yuin Nation and is passionate about developing an awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, both in her personal and work life.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Social Sciences) and a Graduate Certificate in Leading Change in Complex Organisations from MIT Sloan School of Management.
Nicole Klasen, Executive Director People and Culture
Nicole Klasen is a vibrant, experienced People and Culture expert who is passionate about helping our people be at their best.
As Executive Director of People and Culture, she leads a team of dedicated staff who manage human resources with a people-first approach.
Nicole holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) from the University of Newcastle and with more than 14 years of experience in the industry has held a variety of positions for charities and local councils.
Nicole lives an active lifestyle. She is a keen hockey player and loves spending time at the beach with her young family.
Tanya Rosemond-Stephens, Group Director, Families & Community Services
Tanya holds a Bachelor of Psychology, and a Postgraduate Qualifications in Policing, Criminology, Strategic Intelligence and Government Investigations. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Arbitrators & Mediators, (IAMA).
Tanya has three decades of experience in community services and social justice programs, including operational, senior leadership and management consulting roles in the public and private sector. Tanya’s experience includes service with the NSW Police Force, top-tier consulting firms Booz Allen Hamilton & KPMG, the NSW Department of Communities & Justice, and the not-for-profit sector.
Tanya is passionate about promoting safety, security, independence, inclusion, and opportunities for those most at-risk and vulnerable in our communities.
In her down-time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
